CT Style Steamed Cheeseburger

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices of American Cheese
  • 4 hamburger rolls or slices of bread
  • Onion, sliced into rings
  • Salt and pepper to taste

YIELD: 30-40 pot stickers

DIRECTIONS:

Form the ground beef into 4 thin patties. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add the patties but do not crowd the pan, season with salt and pepper. Cook for a minute or two just until a seared color starts to form.

Pour about a half inch of water into the pan and cover with a tight lid. Cook for a few minutes until your desired doneness.

Top with cheese for the last 30 seconds to melt. Top with onion, serve on a roll or toasted bread.
